The original Air Jordan 3 boasted some significant firsts—it was the first AJ to feature a visible Air unit, and the first to use the Jumpman logo instead of the Wings logo. Maintaining that tradition, the Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro GS ‘Fear’ is part of a larger 2013 pack consisting of an AJ3, AJ4 and AJ5 in similar, darker-hued colors. On the insole, the shoe is embellished with a quote: 'I’m scared of what I won’t become, and you’re scared of what I could become.'
