The 2021 reissue of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 ‘Varsity Royal’ celebrates the 25th anniversary of Ken Griffey Jr.’s debut signature shoe. The retro mid-top sports a Varsity Blue nubuck upper with a white leather inlay decorated with a stitched black Swoosh. An adjustable ankle strap displays an embossed Nike wordmark and Junior’s jersey number with the Seattle Mariners. Visible Max Air units enhance a polyurethane midsole, supported underfoot by a waffle-traction rubber outsole.
