2015 saw the debut of the groundbreaking UltraBoost technology. Blending adidas’ Primeknit, Boost and Torsion engineering, the original shoe's technical elements can be found in the UltraBoost 3.0 'Grey Four' sneaker. An integrated Three-Stripes cage rests on the quarter panels of the Primeknit upper, woven with wool yarn. The UltraBoost exterior is bolstered by a four-way stretch mesh heel and S-Curve heel counter, reinforced by the underfoot Torsion system.
