In 1971, tennis star Stan Smith won the US Open wearing the first leather tennis shoes, originally known as the Robert Haillet shoe and now recognized as the adidas Stan Smith. Designed by Horst Dassler, the sneaker is constructed of premium Horween leather in a Core White colorway with hints of gold. A classic tongue tab, perforated Three-Stripes detailing and rubber sole complete the look.
