Designed by the son of founder Adi Dassler, Horst Dassler, the adidas Stan Smith got its name in 1978 when tennis star Stan Smith endorsed the shoe after winning the U.S. Open in 1971. The tonal leather shoe is highlighted by a Pale Nude accent at heel and perforated Three-Stripes. The foot rides along an OrthoLite sockliner for cushioned steps. Underfoot, the base is fitted with its signature rubber cupsole.
