Nike Air Max 1
When Nike launched the Air Max 1 in 1987, the accompanying TV ad featured The Beatles’ ‘Revolution,’ a fitting soundtrack to the shoe that introduced visible Air cushioning to the masses. Tinker Hatfield took inspiration from the Centre Pompidou, a building that famously exposed its inner structure. Today, the legacy of the Air Max line is told through an annual celebration known as Air Max Day, collaborations, and new releases including 'Big Head Mode' and a collaboration with Supreme in 'Black White,' 'Speed Yellow,' 'Triple White' and 'Varsity Purple' colorways.
