Throughout the 80s and 90s, Nike repeatedly attempted to find a design that provided maximum energy return. In 2000, their work paid off with Nike Shox technology, which placed foam between two plates for a springy response to every step. Released in 2019, the Shox TL 'Triple Black' maintains the heritage with a Shox outsole laying a foundation for the silhouette. Twelve Pebax plates comprise the sole, with a mesh upper that's topped by a sturdy webbed overlay, all in triple black.
