Royal blue foxing and yellow tongue tags reflect the signature colors of Michael’s high school. ‘Dear Larry’ is inscribed on the tongue tag and lateral quarter panel as a nod to the letters that a young MJ wrote to his big brother. Underfoot, the gum rubber outsole features ‘45/2’ — an oblique reference to Larry’s jersey number (45) and Michael’s (23), and the notion that if the younger sibling was just half as good as his brother, that would more than suffice.
