In celebration of their fifth anniversary, Shanghai streetwear boutique DOE teamed up with Converse to create the DOE x Chuck 70 High 'Be Formless' sneaker. Part of a limited-edition, two-shoe capsule collection, this March 2019 take connects the DOE name with the traditional Eastern philosophy, ‘empty your mind, be formless.’ It takes a textured, monochrome approach to its engineered jacquard upper, featuring an embossed geometrical cube pattern across its build that’s inspired by the 20th century art movement, Suprematism. An archival ankle patch and vintage license plate paired with a signature rubber toe cap and vulcanized midsole keep the shoe grounded in heritage design.
