First released as a runner in 1991, the Air Huarache’s strapped overlays are inspired by the age-old leather sandals that give the sneaker its name. The ‘Blue Jay’ edition of the shoe serves as a nod to the Air Flight Huarache, a basketball sneaker that debuted in 1992. The OG design was best known for a violet and blue colorway, which has been replicated here through the violet neoprene inner sleeve and blue leather overlays. It all sits atop an Air-cushioned midsole.
