Founded in Switzerland in 1950, Vitra celebrates innovative furniture concepts by working with renowned designers to manufacture objects for the home, office and public spaces. Based in Weil am Rhein, Germany and designed by architect Frank Gehry, the Vitra Design Museum houses works by influential figures, such as Ray and Charles Eames, Verner Panton and Dieter Rams. Released in 1990 alongside the museum's show on plastic furniture created between 1948 and 1990, this book serves as a catalog displaying many works featured in the exhibition. The volume is 42 pages in total and includes text in German, French and English.
