The New Balance women’s 996v2 ‘Castlerock’ applies a classic greyscale finish to a lifestyle runner modeled after the original 996 silhouette from 1988. The upper is composed of a breathable mesh base with split suede overlays at the forefoot, heel and quarter panel. The latter is accented with a traditional ‘N’ logo in matte silver. The sneaker is mounted on a dual-density EVA midsole, which works in tandem with a polyurethane sockliner for lightweight cushioning.
