The Maison Margiela x Reebok Club C ‘Vector Red’ transforms the retro ‘80s trainer with a unique trompe-l’oeil effect, originally introduced by the French luxury fashion house in the mid ‘90s. The upper is crafted from single piece of flat leather that’s printed with a scanned image of a Reebok Club C. The resulting 2D optical illusion suggests raised overlays with shading and tactile stitches. The seamless build is appended with a matching red toe bumper and heel tab, the latter marked with Margiela’s signature embroidered detailing. The label’s numerical logo adorns the woven tongue tag.
