The Kyrie 5 ‘Chinese New Year’ released in early 2019 as part of a larger Nike collection celebrating the Year of the Pig. Kyrie Irving’s fifth signature shoe is dressed in black Engineered Mesh, which is accented with a Chinese patchwork design known as Bai Jia Yi on the heel panel and flytrap-inspired overlay. The larger collection’s color palette is rendered on the shoe’s unique rubber outsole, which partially covers the Air Zoom Turbo unit in the midsole.
