Released in December 2019, the Air Jordan 14 Retro from Nike's 'Doernbecher Freestyle' collection was designed by Ethan Ellis, a patient at the hospital. The sneaker honors his beloved TCU Horned Frogs in black nubuck with metallic blue panels and a dual-colored scheme on the laces and tongue tabs. '6' on the right shoe heel represents his heart surgeries and a space needle graphic appears on the left. A heart rhythm pattern details the translucent rubber outsole.
