The Cortez silhouette first hit shelves in 1972 as a high-performing running sneaker. Since then, the silhouette's legacy has grown to international levels, and Nike thought it appropriate to re-release the original silhouette in 2015. The NikeLab Cortez '72 features a premium white leather upper with red leather accents on the wraparound Swoosh, a foam tongue for comfort, a blue-hued EVA midsole for lightweight cushioning, and a reinforced rubber for toe cap for durability.
