Inspired by UK musician Gary 'Mani' Mountfield's affection for the Three-Stripes brand’s outdoor shoes, adidas creative consultant, Gary Aspden borrowed elements from previous trail models for the Mountfield SPZL 'Cardboard' sneaker. Released in September 2015, the shoe is dressed in a water repellent leather upper with suede overlays. Underfoot, the EVA foam midsole and high-traction rubber outsole complete the rugged sneaker.
