Recalling the classic Nike runner in a nocturnal motif, the Air VaporMax 97 GS 'Triple Black' was released for kids October 2018 featuring a nubuck-and-mesh build in dark layers. Inspired by water rippling on a pond, Japan's bullet trains, and the metal-on-metal aesthetic of mountain bikes, designer Christian Tresser used wavy overlays and shimmering colors to give the original AM97 the look of fluid motion.
