The VaporMax concept came from Nike designers wanting to restructure the Air unit to directly attach to the upper for optimal lightweight cushioning. The Air VaporMax 2019 'Volt Crimson' sneaker builds upon Nike's innovation with revised engineering. Released in April 2019, this edition's TPE-infused stretch textile upper is highlighted by Volt and Crimson accents. At the bottom, rubber pods reinforce the upgraded ultralight VaporMax unit.
