Brooklyn graphic artist Kaws works with Nike Sportswear on an OriginalFake collection, consisting of an Air Max 90 Current Premium and this Air Max 90. The upper features a mix of materials, including leather, suede, TPU and mesh. Volt details can be found around the shoe, including the outsole and laces. Kaws detailing include his signature 'X X' on the tongue lable, as well as a hit of contrast stiching on the forefoot. These were first released in 2008 at Nike Sportswear’s stores at 21 Mercer Street, New York and at the Montalban Theater in Los Angeles.
