adidas worked alongside Transport for London to honor London’s oldest electric line, the Underground Northern Line. Released in December 2018, the adidas Transport for London x Micropacer R1 'Northern Line' sneaker consists of a leather sockliner, a nubuck and suede upper, signature pedometer and a Boost midsole. Nods to the historic line can be seen on each shoe; one sports a graphic inspired by the line, the other reads '18/12/1890'—the debut date of the Northern Line.
