Designer Leo Chang didn't change the silhouette of the Nike Hyperdunk 2016 'University Red' from its predecessors too drastically, instead tinkering with the cushioning to make a significant tech advancement. First introduced in June 2016, the Hyperdunk 2016 uses lightweight Hyperfuse material with open mesh panels and foam backing throughout the upper, and the Flywire stability cables also remain. The shoe's segmented, trampoline-like Zoom midsole helps promote ultimate responsiveness.
