The ASICS Gel Kayano 5 OG from the 'Academic Scholar' pack is inspired by school dress codes of the 90s. Released in September 2019, the sneaker's 'Chili Flake' jacquard mesh upper has synthetic detailing, a contrast emblem across the sides and an external heel counter for structural support. Gold-tone eyelets and rope laces recall uniform shoes. Its FlyteFoam midsole is assisted by Gel technology and high-abrasion outsole rubber.
