Air Tailwind 79 'Pacific Blue'

The first Nike model to feature the brand’s revolutionary Nike Air technology, the Air Tailwind was previewed at the Honolulu marathon in 1978 and released officially in 1979. Reissued in June 2019, the Nike Air Tailwind 79 'Pacific Blue' sneaker consists of a nylon textile upper, reinforced by a suede mudguard and heel overlay. The midfoot stands out with brightly colored leather Swooshes, while Waffle-inspired traction grips underfoot.
