Inspired by the close, stretchy fit of a water-ski boot, Nike designer Tinker Hatfield developed the first Air Huarache in 1991 with a slip-on neoprene collar and an exoskeleton saddle to cradle the foot. The Nike Air Huarache Run Ultra 'Cargo Khaki' brings back the lightweight look and feel of the original, with a few key differences. An earth-toned leather upper with fine-mesh panels includes a stretchy heel strap and fused synthetic skins for a modern take on the running classic.
