The general public first laid eyes on the NMD_R2 in Summer 2017 during Paris Fashion week. The sneaker, premiered as part of the adidas Originals x White Mountaineering SS17 collection, has a full-length boost midsole without the foam inserts seen on the lateral side of the NMD_R1s. Utility Ivy, Footwear White, Trace Green — a women’s exclusive colorway — monochromatic green upper with the a polka-dot pattern that carries through to the leather strip at the heel. The NMD_R2 includes adidas and NMD branding on the tongue and heel pull tab, respectively. This dark green was released by global adidas retailers in April 2017.
