In June 2017, adidas produced a limited number of the Rom Trainer worn by the title character in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou film. The sneaker is done in white leather accented by dual-colored Three-Stripes, a suede T-toe and bright laces. Golden lettering spells out the character's name on the quarter panel. Featuring a textured toe bumper, its blue midsole and serrated gum rubber outsole boost the vintage-inspired styling.
