Nike released this color-blocked hybrid model in February 2018. The Air Max Plus/97 ‘Layer Cake’ dresses the Air Max 97 upper in three different colors: the tongue and collar come in black, the signature waves are finished in Barely Rose, while the mudguard and embroidered Swoosh are done in Leche Blue. The upper is mounted on the Tuned Air-infused Air Max Plus sole, finished in Mica Green. The look is accented by an orange Swoosh on the tongue and matching insole branding.
