The Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 ‘Lotus Flower’ presents a special-edition colorway that pays tribute to San Francisco’s Chinatown — not only the oldest Chinatown in the US, but also among the most populous Chinese communities outside of Asia. The retro hoops shoe sports a white leather upper with a gradient pink Swoosh. A lotus flower graphic is debossed on the lateral heel, while gold-foil Chinese characters on the tongue and insole spell out ‘Gau Gam Saan’ (which translates to Old Gold Mountain, a term that refers to the hope of good fortune that California represented during the California Gold Rush). An additional splash of pink wraps around the heel of the midsole, featuring encapsulated Air-sole cushioning and supported by a blue-tinged translucent rubber outsole.
