“Cut to Rhude SS23 (shoutout <a href="https://www.instagram.com/kevinmjr/?hl=en">Kevin MJR</a>, the plug) and the show is running a little late. All the NBA players and the celebs are in their seats and we’re just waiting […] Then this dude in orange and chains waltzes in looking for his seat. He sat down and the show started. The dude was Kodak Black. And here’s that photo.”&nbsp;

“I got a last minute invite to the Rick Owens show at the Palais de Tokyo on a scorching summer day. Before the show, I noticed a dude in the middle of the runway sitting in a giant industrial crane. &nbsp;I was like, ‘Oh, you know he’s gonna do something during the show,’ and yup, he was there to light these Death Star-looking orbs on fire and hold them up, while the models walked the runway below. Classic Darth Rick.”&nbsp;

“The thing about Rick Owens is that he is an icon. He moves differently, he lives differently, he eats differently. &nbsp;So, at the end of the Rick show, I popped out the zoom on my snapshot camera and got a good shot of the man himself walking down the stairs of the Palais in that Imperial Darth Vader-type stroll. That’s why I’ll forever refer to him as Darth Rick.”&nbsp;

“What’s special about Donavan’s Yard parties is that they just get it. Their secret guest [for this edition] was Nigerian musician Rema! He’s the dude who made “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUU1bIWpH5c" target="_blank">Dumebi</a>” and is probably responsible for you grinding on someone at a club somewhere in the world. You can just see that special Paris energy in this shot.”

“Here’s a pic of a sweaty Drewbyrd and DJ Sean G of Donavan’s Yard flanking surprise-guest Manaré (of community radio station Rinse France) after an epic party. I go way back with Drew, Sean and Manaré, and I was super happy that the homies all linked up to throw it down in Paris. Not pictured is the legend <a href="https://www.instagram.com/benjib/" target="_blank">Benji B</a>, who was pure class as usual.”&nbsp;

“I hung out with Euphoria legend Angus Cloud in the green room at the Donavan’s Yard party. We talked about how crazy Paris was for him—all the crowds mobbing him everywhere he went. What’s wild is that the club we were at (Sacré) is the same spot that Paris Social Club used to be at. I have smoked a lot of joints and cigs in that room, surrounded by icons like Daft Punk, Justice and Brodinski, so it was fitting for young legend Angus to kick it there, too. Side note: I helped him find his lost phone that night!”

“Next stop: the magical Dior SS23 French garden/chateau show! &nbsp;Some of you may wonder, ‘How did you get into the Dior show?’ As I wrote earlier, I’m not a big fashion dude, but I am all about supporting the homies. A huge shoutout to my friend from way back, Julie F., who works for Dior. We used to party back in the day and now she is crushing it as a mom/machine working as Kim Jones’ right-hand woman—and she still manages to let me slide into these things.”

“I was psyched when I got to tap Russell Westbrook on the shoulder and ask him to snap this photo. As someone who went to UCLA and saw him tear it up as a monster freshman and still remembers the dunk on that poor dude at Cal State, I will never not be a Russ fan. No Lakers hate here either; I got love for any dude who wants to come back to his hometown team to play. I hope he comes back to LA and proves all the doubters wrong next season.”&nbsp;

“The best thing about having a camera at fashion week is that all the celebs are around and they’re the most approachable to take photos of at the shows (it’s literally why they are there). I don’t know Olivier Rousteing, Justin Timberlake or Jessica Biel, but I do know that I won’t get tackled for taking their photo at the Dior show. &nbsp;I still kept my distance, though.”&nbsp;

“The last photo from the Dior show. I snapped this shot of <a href="https://www.goat.com/editorial/salehe-bembury">Salehe Bembury</a> next to these two cool cowboy dudes who sat next to me. I labeled this photo "SALEHE_BLACK_EXCELLENCE.tif" when I sent GOAT my selects because Salehe is that dude that does things his own way, and he’s always excellent at it. &nbsp;He was in town for an epic Crocs drop with <a href="https://www.instagram.com/michael_lamjc/?hl=en" target="_blank">Michael Dupouy</a>, a Brandblack collab and a bunch of shows. I saw him pass by me after the Dior show on a scooter and all I could think to myself was, ‘The man don’t stop!’”

“After the Dior show, I grabbed one of those Lime e-bikes and jammed it over to this little photo/sticker/memory exhibit thing I was doing for my friend Joséwong (of streetwear brand ABCD) at his pop-up shop. José flew me out to Paris and wanted to do this little exhibit of five photos I had from a zine I made in 2019 called “Glendale, Paris” in 2019, which features special memories and friends from the time I spent in my second home, aka Glendale, Paris. This photo on the wall is a crazy photo of a group of legends after one of Virgil’s Off-White shows. &nbsp;I mean, Hotel Costes with Virgil, Shannon, Guillaume, Stevie, Bella, Acyde, Luka, Arthur and Peter Saville […] That was an epic moment.” &nbsp;

“I don’t know where or when I shot this, but it was one of those moments where I took a minute to just stop and take in the little pockets of beauty tucked away in these Parisian streets. &nbsp;As a kid born and raised in LA, I will never stop being absolutely amazed at the way these European streets look, and how art is everywhere in these cities.”
